Horse Sense

For the Life in the Sticks theme Aug. 15, 2016: Never say folks in the backwoods of Ohio don't have a sense of humor - or of history. This larger-than-life wood horse and buggy is located in Mesopotamia near the End of the Commons General Store. It is said to be the largest horse-and-buggy in the world and honors the large population of Amish who live in Geauga and Trumbull counties. He even has a name (chosen via a public contest): Sir Pierpont of Mesopotamia, after Pierpont Edwards, town founder.
