Our first stop on the way to Maine will be in Vernon, Connecticut, where we'll meet up with a friend who lives in Massachusetts. The second day we'll be meeting our friends Pete and Carole in Freeport, Maine, to spend the night and a good bit of our money at the huge L.L. Bean store that's open 24 hours a day.
