Bar Harbor, Maine, is located on Mount Desert Island. The town is comprised of six villages: Town Hill, Eden, Salisbury Cove, Hulls Cove, Otter Creek and downtown Bar Harbor. Measuring 28 miles across from west to east, Bar Harbor has a coast is roughly 28 miles as well and the villages encompass 45 square miles.

This was our first major stopover destination, where we spent four nights -- wandering around in the town itself and surrounding villages on Mount Desert Island.
