Well, OK, this welcome sign, today's One-a-Day group entry -- is maybe a quarter of a mile from my street, but that's close enough for horseshoes! This northeastern Ohio city of roughly 21,000 residents is, as the sign says, former President William McKinley was born here in 1843 -- and the beautiful downtown National McKinley Birthplace Memorial, which also houses the city's public library, draws thousands of visitors each year (I'll get a photo of the memorial for another day).
