Burton Log Cabin: Oct. 23

The Burton Log Cabin is a working sugar house at which maple syrup is produced each spring. Maple candy is made here year-round, and on our way home today from Punderson State Park in nearby Newbury, Ohio, we stopped to buy some of the delictable pure maple sugar candy (for Jack) and maple syrup caramel corn (for me). Sometimes they have maple-flavor cotton candy - a real treat - but alas, not today. The cabin, which opened in 1931 and is my photo of the day, is operated by the Burton Chamber of Commerce.
