Duck isn't far from Corolla, but in any event we never pass up a chance to see the stately brick Currituck Lighthouse and the historic Whalehead Club. The day before we left, we drove up once again to see the house Pete and Carole's daughter and her kids had rented for the week after we left. It was even closer to the water than our house!
