Carnival Collection: Jan. 8

Already, I'm having fun with photos of old "stuff" we've collected over the years. This sugar bowl and creamer came from my parents' house. Based on what I've found online, they may be Indiana Carnival glass (quite possible since my both sides of my family have Indiana roots - in fact, I was born in Hoosier land). Anyway, we never used them for anything except to hold the arrowheads that turned up every once in a while in our farm backyard when I was a kid. It was, after all, in Darke County, Ohio, one of the sites of battles with American Indians that ended with the Treaty of Greene Ville (Greenville) after the Indians suffered a major defeat by Gen. Anthony Wayne. My arrowheads have never left the creamer (see right).
