The Ward-Thomas House, a 14-room Victorian mansion across the street from our home in Niles, Ohio, now serves as home to the Niles Historical Society. Now operated as a museum, the mansion is on the National Register of Historic Places and includes more than 5,000 historical items including exact reproductions of several inaugural gowns worn by America's First Ladies. It looks especially beautiful in the fall, so when I passed it today I took a photo for today's One-a-Day group entry.
