Two Pretty Boys: Oct. 6
Today was such a beautiful day that we threw all caution to the wind and headed south to East Liverpool, a very old city on the Ohio River (roughly a 50-minute drive). Among several other places, we stopped at the Lou Holtz Upper Ohio Valley Hall of Fame that's housed in a former bank building smack dab in the middle of town. The bank vault exhibit commemorates notorious Charles Arthur "Pretty Boy" Floyd's last stand; he was killed near East Liverpool by FBI agents in 1934. You'll have to guess the identity of the other "pretty boy" in my photo of the day!
