Drove to the dentist's office to get the permanent filling following a root canal and learned the dentist won't be in after all (they called to confirm the 11 a.m. appointment yesterday morning but somehow forgot to call later to cancel it). No biggie since we don't live very far away - and I wasn't exactly chomping at the bit to have it done anyway.
