One Damn Petunia: Aug. 14
Another fun outing today, this time back to Ashtabula Harbor and on to Conneaut Harbor with lunch at the Lake Tavern in Mecca on the way home. When I saw this flower poking its lonely head through the slats of a bench in Ashtabula (my pick for today), it reminded me of a favorite twist on a nursery rhyme:
Mary, Mary, quite contrary,
How does your garden grow?
With silver bells, and cockle shells,
And one damn petunia!
