Sometimes, you have to make do on the fly. Such is the case with today's One-a-Day group entry, the Hartford Capitol Building dome. I took it, literally, out the open window of our car as we zipped north on Interstate 84 past the Connecticut city to Vernon, where we're spending the night on the way to Gloucester, Mass. For the record, the beautiful building overlooks the 41-acre Bushnell Memorial Park and opened for the General Assembly in January 1879.
