My husband Jack's photo of the Caine Road Covered Bridge was chosen as the cover for the 2011 Ashtabula County Covered Bridge Festival calendar, and his photo of the Smolen-Gulf Covered Bridge was picked as the featured photo for September. On Saturday, we drove up to the annual festival to get a few calendars (my photo of the Root Road Covered Bridge earned the October spot, BTW). For today's One-a-Day group entry, I took his photo with the calendar.

On the wall behind him at right is the plaque he received commemorating his cover photo. At left is my photo of the Wiswell Road Covered Bridge, which was on the cover of the 2009 calendar.
