This beautiful park on the shores of Lake Erie is in Oregon, Ohio, near Toledo. Each year, we try to enter the lighthouse photo contest sponsored by the Toledo Lighthouse Preservation Society. The winners are announced and displayed at a weekend festival in mid-July.

This year (2009), the festival was July 11-12. This time out, Jack entered a few photos but I did not (long story, but basically I just didn't have anything better than what I'd entered previously that fit in any of the contest categories). We drove up to see the results, taking friends Jerry and Barb along for the ride (and the promise of lunch at Tony Packo's in Toledo). I'm happy to report that Jack won two ribbons for his photos and lunch was terrific (as usual) at the restaurant!
