Musician David Grohl was born in Warren, Ohio - just a few miles from where my husband Jack and I live - in 1969. He is the former drummer of Nirvana, a group inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in 2014, as well as a solo artist and founder of the Foo Fighters. In his honor, an alley in downtown Warren was transformed into a showplace featuring original art, a metal sculpture of Grohl and the world's largest drumsticks.
