The Trumbull County Fair, held each summer in Bazetta Township, Ohio, is a great place to get interesting photos. This year, we took grandkids Jackie and Jarrett with us.
It was a very gloomy, overcast day -- we arrived around noon just as the rain sprinkles were stopping -- and the rides didn't open till 1 p.m. so we wandered around a bit first. These photos document our progress: We started at the antique tractor display, then moved on to the Civil War reenactment camp, the animal barns, the flower exhibit barn and finally back to the midway for fun and games.
This event also was a test of my new camera, a Canon SX10 with a 20X zoom and a macro mode. Of course, I need much more practice, but I was quite happy with the results on this outing -- except for the weather! That in mind (and no kids tagging along), we went back on July 5 to get more. For convenience, all the photos are lumped into one big pot; if you see dreary skies, it's Saturday; sunshine and clouds, it's Sunday.
Enjoy your visit!
