I've long been intrigued by old bridges, especially covered bridges. We're fortunate to live near Ashtabula County, Ohio, which boasts 17 of these historic structures -- some of which are included in this gallery (with the hope of adding them all in the not-so-distant future). One of them, in fact, is the longest covered bridge in the United States and fourth longest in the world!

During our travels, my husband Jack and I have photographed a few other covered bridges as well as "regular" interesting and historic bridges that also will appear in this gallery (Jack has his own Zenfolio gallery, by the way, at http://photosbyjryan.zenfolio.com).
