On June 9, we traveled to Lakeside, Ohio, to meet up with friends Pete and Kim Sharp at the vacation home of mutual friends. Our first stop was at the Port Clinton lighthouse to be sure of getting photos of it and the new boathouse. Then it was on to Lakeside (Chautauqua), where we unpacked and drove around in a golf cart. In early evening, we went out to dinner at the Orchard Bar & Table in Port Clinton and stopped for photos of the Marblehead Lighthouse on the way home.

The following day it was more of the same - driving around, lighthouses and dinner at Ciao Bella Ristorante Italiano in Port Clinton. On Tuesday, the only nice-weather day, we lunched at the Liberty Air Museum Tin Goose Diner and had dinner at Marblehead Galley and Freighters Lounge in nearby Marblehead.

Took a ton of photos, of course, but we weren't done; on the way home, we stopped at Lakeview Park in Lorain to check out the roses. They aren't looking very good this year, but I still managed to get more photos than I'll ever need. In the end, a great time was had by all.
