Got out for a morning walk - felt great, but no color to speak of unless it was in somebody's front yard where I won't go without permission. Jack went out back to check the bird feeders and told me there are several buds on the flowering plum tree - so off I went to see for myself (nearly getting blown over in the process - yes, the wind is that strong). Happily, the tree is loaded with ready-to-pop blooms; now let's hope the coming cold spell won't kill them all off. This is the third full spring for the tree, which we planted in honor of our son Scott.
