Our critter collection keeps expanding - in addition to a groundhog, at least one raccoon, a rabbit, an opossum and a couple of chipmunks, last night we spotted a baby groundhog. Today, that doubled - there are two. Couldn't get them both, but managed to catch one while it chowed down on the clover at the edge of our deck. On the flip side, we lost a bird; last night, we watched some kind of hawk devour something in the back yard, and all that was left after it flew away is a pile of feathers (at right). We think it used to be a dove, so have a feeling this won't be the last one the hawk has for dinner.
Update: Jerry informed us we have four babies, not two. Yikes - cute now, but when they grow up, not so much. And we can't just send 'em away to college!
