Pure Gold: Aug. 6

A walk on another beautiful day, this time to try out a new camera. The battery/card cover on the old small one I used to carry tends to pop open when you least expect it, and it was larger than I really wanted to lug around. This one's a cheapy - does almost nothing but literally point and shoot with a telephoto-only mode, but it fits in a shirt pocket. Really close-ups don't fare well, but I can't get close enough to anything to do true macro shots anyway. Otherwise, it seems to do what I need well enough. Also see the Rose of Sharon and coneflower photos at right.
