Buggedy Boo: Jan. 1
As we celebrated New Year's Eve with friends last night, we laughingly recalled the infamous "Y2K" scare (a.k.a. the "Millenniuim Bug" disease) as 2000 approached. I remember doing newspaper stories warning about the possible shutdown of all computers known to humankind, and later, I read that in all, businesses spent an estimated $100 billion trying to protect their data - mostly all for nothing. This morning, I remembered the knee socks I'd received as a joke gift for Christmas 1999 - and would you believe I still have them?
