It was a little chilly when I dragged my champagne-damaged bones out of bed on this New Year's Day, but by 11 a.m., it was sunny, pushing 40 degrees and I needed a boost. So out I went for what turned out to be a brisk but wonderful walk. No chance for a great photo, but I did get a pair of crows having a meeting at a branch office. Our granddaughter Cassie suggested they may be discussing a murder.
