Today's photo is a record of history: Demolition of the old Austintown Middle School on Mahoning Avenue has begun, reportedly to clear the site for construction of a Meijer store. No word on when that will take place, but the company has purchased the property. We were in the area at the Tractor Supply store and drove down a side road so I could get a photo.
