By early 2014, if not sooner, the multimillion dollar Hollywood At Mahoning Valley Race Course is expected to open in Austintown Township, Ohio - not much more than a mile from our house. Owner Penn National Gaming is relocating its race tracks in Toledo and Grove City, Ohio, now that Ohio has approved construction of full-fledged gambling casinos in those locations. Site clean-up began recently on the live thoroughbred horse racetrack and video lottery terminal, which reportedly will have 1,500 slot machines and is expected to attract a million visitors a year. It'll be a fun place, but can't say I'm looking forward to dealing with the traffic!
