Run for Cover: April 10

I've always been fascinated with the East Jordan Iron Works simply because the name seems to be on every manhole (personhole!) cover on every street I've ever been on. So I did a little research and found that the company, a foundry, started in 1883 on the shores of Lake Charlevoix in East Jordan, Michigan. The original focus on the lumbering industry shifted with the times, producing street castings, water works valves and fire hydrants. Interestingly, it appears the company has a facility in Youngstown, Ohio, not far from where I live.
