In late afternoon, friends Jerry and Barb picked us up and we headed south across the Ohio River to Chester, West Virginia, to visit Mountaineer Park for Derby Day. The Kentucky Derby is simulcast, and after that live horse racing begins. We found a table on the outside deck, had burgers and beer, and proceeded with our bets. Jack did fairly well, but I had almost no luck at all.
