I've been grousing for a couple of years about the lack of irises anywhere except a few in Mill Creek Park. Imagine my surprise to find two tall stalks right in our back yard, tucked in next to the shed. The wind, unfortunately, has beaten them down to the ground - so to get a photo, I had to hold a stalk up with one hand and take the picture with the other (I left my fingers in the corner to show what I mean).
