Lakeview Gold: June 20
The historic Lakeview Park Rose Garden, Lorain, Ohio, is unbelievably beautiful. The garden is in a shape of a wheel to honor the Rotary Club emblem (Rotary was one of the 17 community organizations that sponsored the original garden that opened in 1932). Some 2,500 roses are planted in 48 beds with connecting walkways to form the wheel and spokes. We stopped to see this summer's collection on our way home from a two-night stay in Marblehead, Ohio - and I left with close to 300 photos!
