William McKinley, 25th President of the United States (1897-1901), was born Jan. 9, 1843, on what is now South Main Street in Niles, Ohio. In 2003, the McKinley Birthplace Home & Research Center was built on the site of his original home. I captured it for today's photo as we drove through town on our way home after getting flu shots at the doctor's office.
