Still Strong: Sept. 8
The bunches of black-eyed susans at the edge of a neighbor's yard are fading fast, but quite a few are still hanging in there. I'm in no hurry for them to disappear, but my neighbor told me I'm welcome to pick the dead heads off for planting at our place so I won't cry too much when the blooms die off.
