Christmas Surprise: Dec. 26

Our son Scott, his wife Lilla and Lilla's Mum Sheila came today and we exchanged Christmas gifts. For Jack, Lilla put together this unique wall hanging made from dozens of very tiny photos Jack has taken of lighthouses. The center lighthouse, which also is composed of tiny lighthouse images, is of the East Quoddy Lighthouse in New Brunswick, Canada - one he loves and which has won numerous awards. Just cropping all the photos took about 15 hours, Lilla said. Also, it's on a sort of stretchy canvas; peel off the backing and it will cling to just about any smooth surface without damaging paint. It can be removed and repositioned up to a dozen times or so without harming the image. Pretty neat, huh?
