Got out for a short walk while the sun's still out and was surprised to see the lilac bush I pass every day actually has blooms on it. I was sure the little buds weren't going to pop this year. The real treat of the day, though, was watching three huge deer - a buck and two does, we think - wander close to the backyard fence and actually plop down to rest behind our next-door neighbor's fence. Jack got some good photos, but alas, I did not.
