In keeping with my goal of photographing some of our antiques and collectables this year, this one brings together both. The most important is the pair of Staffordshire dogs, which belonged to Jack's parents. Many, many years ago, he says his mother was offered $400 for the pair. Today, I've seen prices ranging from $400 to more than $1,000 online. The orange fish is a very old ashtray that Jack's father, John, used. I've long been a collector of deviled egg plates, with a few seen here. The crystal one on the left was my mother's - the one that started me on collecting them.
