Awful photo, but managed to catch the daddy wren at the Ohio State birdhouse on our deck. Last summer, a couple hatched two litters in it (same pair? Who knows). This season, they wavered back and forth between this one and a smaller wooden house hanging nearby (you can see the top of it at the left), finally settling in that one. We missed the fledging, but then they returned to start another brood. This time, they wavered once again, but picked the more colorful OSU home.
