Northeast Harbor

Lobster buoys (or should I say "lobstah" buoys) are a common sight on the Maine coastline, both in the water and on land. Lobster fishing is big business here, and we learned that the time we visited -- about the second and third weeks of September -- is the busiest season as lobster fisherman rush to fill their traps before the lobsters migrate out to sea and warmer water temperatures.
