Presidential Ladies: Jan. 3
I love this "challenge" because I get to show you some of the sights where I live that I otherwise couldn't! The Ward Thomas House, once the residence of a wealthy Niles, Ohio, industrialist, is now a museum operated by the Niles Historical Society. It is, in fact, located almost directly across the street from our house. Today, they were hosting an open house, and since I needed to get some background information for a newspaper article I'm writing, we took the opportunity to get a few photos as well. This is the dining room; the dresses are exact replicas of the inaugural gowns of past First Ladies and were made by local seamstresses quite a few years ago.
