We're staying in Bedford, Pa., on our way to the Outer Banks, and arrived early enough in the day to visit Old Bedford Village. It's a wonderful, though largely recreated, colonial village with 60-some buildings in which costumed reenactors like a cooper demonstrate the way it used to be. At the "Gaol," Jack climbed behind bars so I could "capture" him. Perfect for today's One-a-Day group entry (and yes, I let him out...)
