25th President William McKinley was born in Niles, Ohio, where my husband Jack was born and has lived all his life -- and I've been here since we got married more than 47 years ago. Today, Jack had to run to the bank downtown, which is right across the street from the McKinley Birthplace National Memorial that brings thousands of visitors to the city each year. Since it's snowing, I took the opportunity to get my photo for today at the memorial. The centerpiece is a large statue of McKinley; to the statue's right is a public library and to its left is a large meeting room and museum containing a number of Presidential artifacts.
