Today we traveled about an hour to the beautiful Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens in Akron, Ohio. This 65-room manor house was built by F.A. Seiberling, who founded The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in 1898. The house was built between 1912 and 1915 for Seiberling and his wife, Gertrude, and the family donated it to a nonprofit organization to be maintained and opened to the public. Stan Hywet Hall/the Frank A. Seiberling House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a U.S. National Historic Landmark.
