Maybe it's because I'm old enough now to be delighted when I find someone or something even older, or maybe it's because of my public relations background, but I do love advertising signs from long ago. Today we made a stock-up trip to GFS Marketplace (if you've never been to one of these bulk-food stores and have a freezer, I recommend them highly). On the way home, with frozen goodies packed away safely in insulated bags in the trunk and temps still below freezing outside, we stopped for lunch at Gasoline Alley - and I got one of their great old signs for today's photo of the day.
