Courthouse Tower: April 23
The historic Trumbull County, Ohio, Courthouse is the third to be built in downtown Warren, Ohio; the cornerstone was laid in late 1895, and on Jan. 25, 1897, the tower clocks were started at 4 p.m. Built from Amherst sandstone, the courthouse houses the largest common pleas courtroom in Ohio. The building is listed on the National Historical Register. After running a couple of errands in Warren this morning, we drove through the downtown so I could get a photo for today's one-a-day entry.
