Honestly, I don't remember any time in my lifetime when it was this hot for this long - and there's no sign of a real let-up in sight. We hate to leave the house (making it tougher to get a photo of the day), but we needed milk and a few items I'm comparing for an upcoming newspaper article. So, we stopped at the supermarket, where I "beet" the heat to get this photo!
