I've never been a huge fan of orchids, but I do acknowledge their rather aristocratic beauty. And, despite having a friend who grows them, I've never yet taken what I consider to be a halfway decent photograph of one. This strange-colored one, found in the library of the visitor center at Mill Creek Park earlier today, is one of the best I've ever been able to muster. It's far from perfect, but it's good enough for today's one-a-day entry!
