A Little Squirrely: Jan. 31
A couple of days ago, I mentioned that I'm taking part in a test of squirrel-unfriendly bird seed. Supposedly, the seed is coated with an oil that the rodents find distasteful, so they'll stay away from the bird feeders once they've sampled it. And as I mentioned back then, those claims seem to be grossly exaggerated -- at least when it comes to Ohio squirrels. Today, 3 days after the first batch of seed went into the feeder, I'm proving my point with today's photo of the day. If the manufacturer wants proof that their product doesn't deter the critters, I've got it now!
