Yesterday, Jack's cast was removed and replaced by a space cadet-like air boot. He's still not allowed to put weight on the foot, but at least this contraption can be taken off and on. Thanks to friends Michele and James, he's getting crutches to augment the walker he's been using -- hopefully that will allow him to get out and go a bit more conveniently. He's feeling fine, though -- so now it's mostly a matter of full recovery time.
