Despite the awful heat, we made a quick trip to Mill Creek Park to check on the roses. Don't bother; looks like they ripped out all of last year's bushes and planted new ones - none of which have blooms (so glad I don't have a wedding there this summer - I'd be freaking out right about now). Did find quite a few day lilies in bloom, though, as well as red hot pokers, coneflowers and a few other tiny things I can't identify.
