A first for us - a beautiful bluebird stood on the tree stump in our front yard this morning (there were two of them, but one apparently didn't want to take time out from finding bugs and other good stuff on the stump to pose for me). This little one jumped around quite a bit, leaving only when a disgruntled robin flew in to claim the perch (see photo at right).
