Today was a day from hell (albeit a productive one). Jack had a routine check-up at the Cleveland Clinic. Thank goodness they keep a pretty tight schedule, because I'd made an emergency appointment with my dentist back here at home at 4 p.m. - with, bless 'em, a 15-minute window. Also thanks to Jack's driving skills and some luck with traffic, we pulled into the dentist's parking lot about 4:07. The news there isn't so good (meaning the crown that broke off was too damaged to glue back in and I'll have to stick with mashed potatoes, mac and cheese and soup for another week till my new appointment to do a new one), but all is well, relatively speaking.
