We drove up to Fairport Harbor today to see if we could get a glimpse of Tall Ship Madeline. Today, she wasn't open to the public (Saturday and Sunday she'll be part of a harbor festival), but she was taking booked-ahead groups out. We didn't want to buck the weekend crowds, and we were thrilled to see her sails way out in Lake Erie when we arrived. Then we got really lucky; about 10 minutes later, she started to move - past the breakwall and into the harbor right where we were standing with cameras in hand. Today's photo? One of my favorites.
